Janelle graduated from the University of Auckland in 2015 with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and a Bachelor of Laws. Soon after, she was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. Her career began in accounting and finance with one of New Zealand's largest banks before transitioning to law.

Before joining Jackson Russell in 2024, Janelle served as an in-house lawyer for a prominent tertiary education provider and later practiced at a respected suburban law firm.
Known for her approachable demeanor and empathetic approach, Janelle possesses a versatile skill set. Her expertise spans wills, enduring Powers of Attorney, succession planning, Trusts, and estate administration. Janelle finds fulfillment in guiding clients through complex legal matters, supporting them in achieving their objectives and finding peace of mind.
Active in her legal community, Janelle is a member of the Auckland Women Lawyers’ Association, the Pacific Lawyers Association, and the Asia New Zealand Leadership Foundation.
Outside of work, Janelle enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and two dogs. She also delights in exploring new eateries with her husband and experimenting in the kitchen with cherished family recipes.
