Mark has over 25 years’ experience in litigation and dispute resolution. He has extensive knowledge and a specialist skill set having worked across a range of industries including manufacturing and retail, professional services, finance and insurance, food and beverage, construction sector, maritime and fisheries, company and insolvency, consumer law and creditor remedies, trusts and estates, private wealth, property and debt collection.
Mark has worked for international and national corporations and institutions, SMEs and private individuals. He is an effective problem solver, and enjoys working with clients to achieve their objectives and helping to find solutions to difficult and complex problems and disputes. He is a strategic thinker and clear communicator and enjoys building relationships with clients and getting to know their business.
Mark is a member of several industry organisations including an Associate of the Aribitators and Mediators Institute of NZ (AMINZ), NZ Society of Construction Law, RITANZ - a specialist insolvency interest group, NZ Credit and Finance Institute, and the Property Section of the NZ Law Society. He has a law degree and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Otago. He has also studied extra-murally and is interested in effective mediation and dispute resolution.
He spends his spare time with his family and sharing his interest in good wine and the outdoors including skiing, mountain-biking, road cycling, running, water-skiing and many other pursuits.
