Jackson Russell has appointed David Alizade as a partner in its Business Law team. David brings extensive New Zealand and international experience to the team across various sectors such as technology, media, telecommunications, retail, manufacturing and life sciences.

David’s practice encompasses all aspects of corporate and commercial law, including joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions and commercial contracts. His experience includes working with innovative and disruptive businesses on intellectual property strategy and commercialisation matters.

Before returning to New Zealand, David was a partner in the Business Law team of a UK law firm. David says: “It is great to be back in New Zealand, and to be able to share with clients the international experience I have gained working both in law firms and in businesses.”

Originally from the UK, David has a master’s degree in law (with honours) from Cambridge University. He has worked for much of his career in New Zealand, and is a New Zealand lawyer and a Fellow of Governance New Zealand.
